About the Library

The White Oak School Community Library and its services are a joint

endeavor of the City of White Oak and the White Oak Independent

School District. Both the city and the school district direct the

operations of the Library through the Library Board. The Library

began this collaboration in November of 2000.

The Mission of the White Oak School Community Library is to provide

appropriate information resources and services to satisfy the

educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of the

community and to utilize these resources in a wise and fiscally

responsible manner.

The goal of the Library is the maximum use of its collection by the

greatest number of members of the community.
